This position reports to: Manufacturing Unit Manager __ In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of internal strategic projects at multi-national, regional, or global function level using ABB and/or 3rd party resources. Each day, you will lead project execution in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by successfully applying project management processes as applicable. This is your opportunity to work for a new ABB facility in Richmond, VA. The work model for the role is: Onsite in Richmond, VA Facility (#LI-Onsite) This role is contributing to the Critical Power Business line in Smart Power, Electrification in Richmond, Virginia, United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with PMP required or equivalent
  • You have minimum of 5 plus years of experience in Project Management
  • You are at ease communicating in English and (Spanish is plus)
  • Candidates must already have work authorization would permit them to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Develops a project charter and a project plan describing how the project will be executed for communication to project team members, key stakeholders, approval, and as the basis for execution.
  • Organizes, monitors, and controls activities to ensure effective achievement of planned stage-gates and efficient utilization of available resources.
  • Monitors and controls project cost and financials.
  • Identifies, contains, and reduces risk and ensures that all opportunities are captured and acted upon.
  • Formalizes acceptance of the project and concludes all project activities.
  • Serves as the key contact for project stakeholders and an escalation point for project issues.
  • Communicates appropriate information to stakeholders in a timely and effective manner to achieve desired understanding and support.
  • Develops dedicated stakeholder management and change management plans and applies best practices in change management.
