About The Position

The Program Manager is accountable for large, complex projects and multiple related projects in the areas of clinical informatics; physician practice implementations; quality improvement and other strategic projects. Manages all aspects of projects and programs with direct accountability to the Executive Sponsor and Project Management Department leadership. Will be responsible for the oversight of multiple strategic projects and programs, partnering with other Project Managers/Coordinators to accomplish the work. May be responsible for providing some direction to Project Managers/Coordinators assigned to the different programs. May be responsible for the direct supervision of 2 or more Project Managers/Coordinators assigned to the program. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Applicable field of study.
  • Upon hire: CAPM and PMP certification, Project Management Professional designation (PMI) Certification
  • 7 years Experience in information technologies, project management, healthcare administration or clinical field.
  • 3 years Expertise and experience with Project Management methodology based on Project Management principles.
  • 1 year Demonstrated ability in leading multiple diverse and complex projects or programs.
  • 1 year Demonstrated management skills and the ability to work effectively to build relationships with executive management, department managers and project managers.
  • 1 year Experience facilitating complex decisions making among multiple executive stakeholders with different interests and priorities is essential.
  • Experienced in vendor / contract management and negotiations.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and/or strategic and tactical planning and execution including marketing, communications and financial planning.
  • Demonstrated experience as a speaker in a professional presentation environment, such as conferences and association meetings.
  • Experience developing and implementing benchmarks and metrics in support of improved quality and process design.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree In a related Field.
  • Upon hire: Certifications in process optimization (i.e., PgMP, Six Sigma, LEAN, CQIA or other nationally recognized certifications)
  • 2 years Formal training in Program Management.
  • 2 years Experience incorporating process improvement methodologies into large scale projects.
  • 1 year Change Acceleration Process (CAP), Workout and Lean education training.
