About The Position

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from start to finish. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications and safety standards. This role involves managing teams, communicating with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, and handling scheduling, procurement, and problem-solving on-site. Strong leadership, organization, and knowledge of construction processes are essential for successfully delivering projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in project management within construction, preferably in K-12 or public sector projects'
  • Proven experience managing large-scale capital improvement or bond-funded programs.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, project controls, and contract administration.
  • Experience working with public school districts, government agencies, or global corporate entities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
  • CCM (Certified Construction Manager) certification
  • Professional License/Registration
  • Experience with Texas school districts (e.g., DISD or surrounding ISDs)
  • Familiarity with program management platforms such as e-Builder, Procore, or PMWeb
  • Knowledge of bond program delivery and reporting requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of K-12 construction projects including planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, including school district representatives and program management teams.
  • Lead the development of project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Monitor construction progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Lead project meetings, prepare reports, and communicate project status to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and ADA requirements
  • Oversee contract administration including change orders, RFIs, submittals, and claims resolution.
  • Support procurement processes including bid evaluations and contractor selection.
  • Ensure program level quality assurance and quality control standards are maintained throughout project lifecycle.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff and project team members.
