About The Position

About the role:We are seeking an experienced Project Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day delivery of construction activities across a range of projects within the Framework sector, principally working on the Environmental Agency Minor Works Framework. The successful candidate will ensure that all works are executed in accordance with programme requirements, safety & environmental standards, and quality expectations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead site teams Location:Based at Bowburn but overseeing works in Yorkshire & the North East.What we will expect from you:Can carry out inductions and TBT briefingsExperience in environmental activities within watercourses and adjacent and awareness of constraints and relevant protocolsCan develop RAMS and Construction Phase PlansIs a leader by example on health safety and environmental practices (will not take risks)Has a good understanding of industry H&S and Env best practiceCan oversee temporary works and fulfil requirements of procedureStrives to exceed basic standards on site and proposes new innovationsHas a good all-round knowledge of basic engineering principles and Environmental constraintsGood at problem solving, troubleshooting and innovations. Can think outside the box analysing project benefits (cost/programme) and promotes this discipline to team membersCan fully develop the weekly programme independentlyHas good understanding and experience in forms of Contract (NEC4)Can maintain accurate records of measurement for direct works and subcontract works to support commercial teamCan support commercial team in production of variations and quotationsHas experience in the management of sub-contractorsPrepares daily and weekly progress reports, variation reports for the schemeFamiliar with document management systemsCan produce monthly reporting in line with contract requirementsMaintains company quality assurance documentation for ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 systemsHas ability to recognise defective works and rectify in a timely mannerEnsures project team and sub-contractor supply chain deliver to standards (Lead by Example)Can compile efficiently the necessary documentation to complete H&S File and handover documentationIt is not possible for this document to totally encompass or define all tasks that may be required of the post holder. Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years' experience
  • Good IT skills
  • CSCS card
  • 5-day SMSTS
  • Experienced in the delivery of environmental civil engineering schemes - below 500k and nomadic incidental works also
  • First aid at work certificate desirable
  • Holds a UK driving licence, clean or low on points
  • Experienced and competent in management of teams of 2 or more operatives on projects
  • Conducts themselves in a courteous and professional manner
  • Is open and honest
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Encourages and supports other colleagues
  • Has a 'can do / will do' attitude
  • Good communication skills, keeps colleagues/peers informed
