About The Position
The Research Project Manager will support the Office of the Provost by ensuring research project teams meet all requirements by completing deliverables properly according to their contract or agreement with partners and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess proven experience and expertise as a project manager with knowledge of research practices.
Requirements
- Public Health, Business Management, or a related field and 2–4 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with academic institutions, community organizations, and funding organizations (local, state, or federal)
- Knowledge of and experience in the research environment in higher education.
- Knowledge of university policies and procedures and grant policies and procedures.
- Ability to make independent decisions and take the appropriate action in situations requiring a quick decision.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of various funding agencies, including federal and state programs and private foundations.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently to meet various concurrent deadlines.
- Knowledge of budget development.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to deadlines and project details
