Job Overview The Project Manager for the AltaMed Art Collection partners with executives, curatorial leaders, and internal/external stakeholders to plan, organize, and execute complex, multi-year art initiatives, including exhibitions, conservation projects, museum development activities, art loans, acquisitions, donor engagement events, and public programming. The Project Manager is responsible for building and improving operational processes, coordinating cross-functional execution, managing vendors and contracts, and ensuring alignment with organizational strategy, timelines, and budgets. This role acts as a central hub for communications, logistics, and administrative functions that enable the Art team to scale and institutionalize a world-class arts program within AltaMed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, arts administration, museum studies, organizational management, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex cross-functional projects or programs; experience in arts, cultural institutions, museums, exhibitions, or creative industries strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting senior leaders and advising high-visibility initiatives.
  • Project Management certification required within one year of hire, with Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification preferred.
