About The Position

A Spur Industrial Project Manager for Manufacturing (PMM) will be responsible for overseeing all phases of manufacturing projects. Estimate, plan, coordinate, quality control and manage manufacturing projects to include activities such as estimating, scheduling, resource allocation, material procurement, contract administration, project cost analysis, quality and documentation administration. PM may be assigned multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

  • 5 Years in Steel fabrication manufacturing program management experience
  • Drive and Focus for high quality work product.
  • Must have previous experience working from blueprints and specifications and be familiar with general piping construction considerations, general facility construction considerations, welding concepts, and civil construction.
  • Mid-Level computer and organizational skills with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), internet, and MS Project
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Clearly understand and define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management.
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
  • Ensure quality of every manufactured item meets all AISC requirements.
  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, subs, etc.) required to complete the project.
  • Ensure all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the project.
  • Implement and execute the project according to the project plan.
  • Document and track project activities rendering billable work and change orders.
  • Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to not only ensure the successful completion of the project, but it is also completed in a timely manner.
  • Establish a communication schedule to ensure updates are given to senior management, customers, superintendent and employees, on the progress of the project.
  • Monitor project cost versus estimated cost daily and communicate variances to senior management regularly.
  • Coordinate and communicate project status to senior management.
  • Maintain the project costs, schedule, profitability, safety, quality, and documentation, ensuring client satisfaction within project requirements.
  • Ensure that projects are completed in a manner consistent with the project guidelines and applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations. Serve as client’s point of contact for assigned projects.
  • Review the quality of the work completed with the shop manager to ensure that it meets the project and AISC standards.
  • Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures; follow established spending and PO process.
  • Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date.
