About The Position

Keystone Aerial Surveys, Inc ., a Vexcel company is looking for a Project Manager . The role requires a team player who is self-motivated, detailed oriented, able to multi-task, and technically savvy. Purpose : The function of the Project Manager is to support flight operations, perform post flight quality control, and validate client deliverables. The Project Manager is responsible for working with clients and flight crew to execute required flight mission(s). The Project Manager is responsible for communicating clearly and completely with clients, crews, and post processing team, and ensuring that delivery requirements are met on schedule. The Project Manager will assure that the required reporting paperwork is filed accurately, completely and on time.

Requirements

  • College degree in mapping, geography, GIS or related fields preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Licensing/registration/certification requirements: Valid Driver's license
  • Ability to obtain a passport
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to learn complex application software
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overnight travel, if necessary
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned

Nice To Haves

  • One years' experience in the Geospatial profession.
  • Two or more years' experience in the Geospatial profession

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with crews and Flight Department Manager regarding aircraft mission priorities and deployment location
  • Coordinate project specifications with clients, crew members and post processing personnel
  • Determine when customer project specifications are not met and reject data
  • Coordinate re-flights based on this data
  • Track and document project progress, reporting to clients as required (daily if necessary), which may include weekends and holidays
  • Perform flight planning with GIS software
  • Use customized and commercially available software to track project completeness
  • Perform quality control of various deliverable items
  • Communicate with clients during quoting stage, pre-flight, post-flight, and before and after delivery
  • Design flight plans for quotation and acquisition
  • RFP/RFQ documentation assistance when needed
  • Review of procedures to foster improvements and efficiencies
  • Develop and document new procedures as operations change
  • Attend industry events to network with potential and current clients, seek out new business opportunities, and stay current on software, hardware, and best practices in the industry
  • Training of colleagues on quality control procedures, flight map making, delivery preparations, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow staff and managers, fostering a teamwork environment where every employee's input is encouraged
