Project Manager

ARTECHOUSEWashington, DC
Onsite

About The Position

ARTECHOUSE seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead the limited reopening of its Washington, D.C. location. This individual will assume full ownership of deployment — from planning and labor coordination through implementation and transition to operational state. This role is execution-focused. The Project Manager will work closely with a group of ATH consultants who have deep institutional knowledge of the venue, equipment inventory, technical infrastructure, and historical deployment protocols. The Consultant will provide strategic and technical guidance; the Project Manager will own delivery. The ideal candidate is operationally rigorous, financially disciplined, and technically fluent in multimedia installation environments. They are comfortable managing rigging, A/V engineers, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders while balancing budget and timeline constraints. This is a fixed-term, project-based role tied to the reopening timeline.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience managing large-scale experiential, multimedia, or technical production projects.
  • Demonstrated financial project management experience.
  • Strong understanding of A/V systems, projection workflows, media servers, networking, and integration environments.
  • Experience managing installation crews and external vendors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple moving parts in compressed timelines.
  • On-site presence required in Washington, D.C.
  • Evening and weekend availability during installation and commissioning periods.
  • Comfortable working in active installation and technical environments.
