About The Position

SM Energy is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a dynamic and high-performing team that is passionate about delivering innovative technology solutions across all business areas. The role should be filled by a driven project manager, responsible for coordinating and managing the delivery of project objectives. Oversees the day-to-day activities of technology initiatives including gathering business requirements, defining and managing quality standards, aligning and mobilizing teams, managing stakeholder communications, mitigating risks, resolving issues, and escalating obstacles needing leadership intervention. The role will work with business and IT managers to estimate effort and guide resources, fostering accountability of business leaders and team members, leading change, managing scope, resources and budgets, and facilitating effective decision making to drive the project to timely completion. Ensures that projects are executed efficiently and effectively aligning with SM’s overarching strategic priorities.

  • Demonstrates technical depth and breadth of the tools and technologies that support our solutions and can drive meaningful discussion with the Technology Team.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required.

Nice To Haves

  • MS Project and Visio experience is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional certification is preferred.
