About The Position

We are hiring a Project Manager to join our team in the Twin Cities. As a family-owned heavy civil contractor with more than five decades of experience, we have built our reputation on delivering complex projects safely, on time, and within budget. This role is ideal for a hands-on Project Manager who understands the field side of heavy civil construction and is ready to take full ownership of projects.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing heavy civil, earthwork, grading, or site construction projects
  • Strong understanding of field operations and project execution
  • Track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget
  • Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specifications, and survey data
  • Experience with construction management and scheduling software
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both field teams and clients
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Equivalent field experience will be considered

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Procore, P6, or similar construction management and scheduling software
  • Familiarity with MnDOT, municipal, or airport projects

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through closeout across: Earthwork, Site grading, Demolition, Road construction, Underground utilities, Earth retention
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, aligning field teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
  • Oversee project financials, including budgets, cost control, and pay applications
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, municipalities, and agencies
  • Coordinate permitting, plan reviews, and utility requirements to maintain project progress
  • Partner with superintendents to sequence work, allocate resources, and resolve field challenges
  • Support preconstruction efforts, including takeoffs and estimating
  • Maintain project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, and stakeholder updates
  • Promote and uphold a strong safety culture across all project phases
