About The Position

Manage multiple long and short-term planning projects for the University's academic, residential, and administrative units in development of and in accordance with the University's Strategic Planning Initiative and Space Planning and Design and Construction guidelines. Support department to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved budgets, schedules and quality standards. Assist with managing consultants, contractors and other vendors to optimize financial results and quality performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in Project Management.
  • Experience with resource and budget/financial management.
  • Experience managing large institutional projects involving multiple clients and consultants.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and manage a variety of long term projects,control costs and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively utilizing problem solving and negotiating skills with senior management and design team.
  • Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate policies and processes to a diverse population is required.
  • Knowledge of NYC building, zoning and other regulatory codes.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree or certificate in construction management, business, or other technical field(engineering, architecture).
  • NYS Registered Architect.
  • Knowledge of construction and engineering design.
