About The Position

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project production for roofing, siding, gutter, and related exterior jobs. This role combines administrative coordination, material ordering, crew management, and on-site supervision to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company quality standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in roofing, siding, gutters, or exterior construction required
  • Strong knowledge of installation processes and materials
  • Ability to manage crews and subcontractors effectively
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable with both office work and hands-on site visits
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Manage residential and/or commercial roofing, siding, and gutter projects from start to finish
  • Schedule jobs and coordinate crews, subcontractors, and inspections
  • Oversee multiple active projects simultaneously
  • Ensure jobs are completed according to contract scope, building codes, and manufacturer specifications
  • Visit job sites regularly to monitor progress, quality, and safety
  • Act as the primary point of contact between crews, subcontractors, and the office
  • Troubleshoot issues in the field and resolve delays or installation concerns
  • Conduct job start-ups, progress checks, and final walkthroughs
  • Order roofing, siding, gutter, and related materials accurately and on time
  • Coordinate material deliveries to job sites or warehouse
  • Track material usage and minimize waste
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding availability, lead times, and pricing
  • Create and manage job files, production schedules, and documentation
  • Update job statuses, notes, and completion records in company systems
  • Coordinate permits, inspections, and warranties as needed
  • Assist with invoicing, change orders, and close-out paperwork
  • Ensure workmanship meets company and manufacturer standards
  • Enforce safety policies and OSHA compliance on all job sites
  • Address and resolve punch-list items and warranty issues
  • Communicate timelines and expectations with homeowners, builders, or project managers
  • Address customer concerns related to production or installation
  • Work closely with sales, estimating, and office staff to ensure smooth job flow
