Position Overview Must live in the Phoenix Metropolitan area, or willing to relocate The Project Manager oversees planning, execution, and completion of water well service projects for municipal, large commercial, and industrial clients. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant operations while coordinating teams, subcontractors, equipment, scheduling, and client communication. The Project Manager is responsible for maintaining high service quality, managing budgets, and ensuring projects align with regulatory and contractual requirements.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of project management experience in water well services, pumping systems, municipal infrastructure, industrial maintenance, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of groundwater wells, vertical turbine pumps, line-shaft and submersible systems, motor controls, and well rehabilitation processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, scheduling, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office, and service management platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working directly with municipalities, utilities, and industrial facilities.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, VFDs, well cameras, and downhole diagnostics.
  • Certifications such as PMP, OSHA 30, or water system operator credentials.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management for water well pump pull, rehabilitation, pump installation, electrical upgrades, and maintenance projects.
  • Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, resource plans, and safety strategies.
  • Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, equipment scheduling, and material procurement.
  • Monitor job progress, resolve on-site issues, and ensure adherence to specifications and safety protocols.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for municipal water departments, industrial facilities, engineering firms, and commercial clients.
  • Conduct project kickoff meetings, provide progress updates, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain strong relationships with repeat municipal and industrial clients to support long-term partnerships.
  • Ensure project compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including ADWR, ADEQ, OSHA, and other relevant agencies.
  • Oversee proper documentation including well logs, pumping records, rehabilitation reports, and environmental compliance reports.
  • Ensure that all work follows manufacturer standards for major pump and motor OEMs.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and change orders.
  • Approve invoices, monitor job costs, and ensure profitability targets are met.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, service reports, permits, and closeout packets.
  • Coordinate with service managers, field technicians, electricians, machinists, and office staff.
  • Support hiring, training, and evaluation of field personnel.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and ensure adherence to company safety policies.
