About The Position

The Project Manager (PM) oversees all phases of commercial construction projects from conception through closeout. The PM is responsible for project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project delivery. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to proactively resolve challenges before they become problems.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years of Project Management in commercial construction.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Procore, Sage, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract management.
  • OSHA 62-SST certification required.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Scheduling
  • Study bid specifications and drawings; identify potential risks and develop solutions.
  • Create, maintain, and update project schedules using Microsoft Project.
  • Develop contingency plans for critical path items.
  • Coordinate trade durations, material delivery, and labor scheduling.
  • Maintain detailed 2-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Project Execution & Documentation
  • Manage and document all project correspondence through Procore.
  • Generate, track, and manage submittals, RFIs, SKs, addenda, and change orders.
  • Maintain accurate project budgets, cost codes, and schedules of values.
  • Review subcontractor invoices, back charges, and purchase orders.
  • Ensure scopes of work are comprehensive and minimize change orders not chargeable to the Owner.
  • Prepare accurate project reports and maintain complete records.
  • Coordination & Communication
  • Work collaboratively with the Preconstruction Department (Project Manager/Sr Project Manager)
  • Lead meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure site supervisors have current drawings, specifications, and approved submittals.
  • Support Superintendents in enforcing quality standards, safety compliance, and company procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders.
  • Quality, Safety & Closeout
  • Ensure projects adhere to company values and contractual standards.
  • Monitor site safety plans, toolbox talks, and compliance with OSHA requirements.
  • Complete punch lists and closeout documentation, including as-builts, warranties, and guarantees, to client satisfaction.
  • Deliver projects that maximize both client satisfaction and company profitability.
