About The Position

Based in Yosemite National Park, the Maintenance Project Manager validates and organizes maintenance projects that exceed eight hours of total labor effort.   The Project Manager evaluates the detailed work parameters; the skills, time, material and equipment required; and, the conditions and accessibility of the work site. Develops a preliminary schedule, cost estimate and summary justification for the project for client approval. Ensures full compliance and completion of the on-demand process and approval criteria. The Project Manager coordinates the scheduling and implementation of the work with operation leaders, including general managers department managers, special events managers, etc. As the project progresses, the manager submits status reporting on completion milestones and cost.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience as Facility Manager, Project Manager, Planner/Scheduler, or Maintenance Supervisor. Knowledge of integrated facility operations, automated technologies and systems maintenance in engineering/research environment, with significant responsibility for customer relations.
  • Experience and proficiency with project management and scheduling solutions in large scale, technical operations and all aspects of planning, staffing, scheduling and cost estimating.
  • Administrative experience related to project management, including safety cost tracking, progress monitoring, reporting and corrective action planning.

Responsibilities

  • Know and uphold Aramark’s policies, procedures and Service Agreement with the client to allow customers and clients to focus on their core business.
  • Take ownership of campus wide facilities, infrastructure and grounds, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility performance, operating effectiveness and cost efficiency.
  • Receive and log project requests, review of scope and work requirements, and determine appropriate project disposition.
  • Communicate with the National Park Service for approval to proceed with a project or support the requestor with an alternative resolution.
  • Manage project submissions to the National Park Service, navigating NEPA, NHPA, tribal, and archaeological compliance requirements.
  • Gauge client and operational priorities and options to separate, consolidate, defer, or pursue project requests.
  • Create project schedules, maintain project budgets, facilitate planning meetings, track project progress, create project closeouts.
  • Utilize CMMS software for purchasing, project creation, and work order management.
  • Lead vendor and contractor management, negotiating contracts and ensuring work is completed on time to a high standard of quality.
  • Ensure internal and external team members meet critical deadlines.
