About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Stormwater and Site Civil Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex civil and water resources projects in the Northeast. This role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with clients and regulatory agencies, and ensuring technical excellence and quality from concept through construction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or relevant field with 9 years of progressive experience in stormwater management, site civil design, and project management, or a Master's Degree in a relevant field with 8 years of experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, SWMM, and/or similar hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools.
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal stormwater regulations, low-impact development (LID), and sustainable site design practices.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects, teams, and deadlines concurrently.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal regulatory framework and experience interacting with regulators.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with municipal, commercial, institutional, and/or industrial site development projects.
  • Business development and proposal writing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage stormwater management, site development, and infrastructure improvement projects from proposal through completion.
  • Oversee design and analysis for stormwater conveyance systems, stormwater management, green infrastructure, and erosion and sediment control measures.
  • Develop and review grading, drainage, and utility plans, site layout, and construction documents in support of water, wastewater, transportation, and private and public land development projects.
  • Prepare and manage permit applications and coordinate with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables while maintaining client relationships and ensuring profitability.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers, designers, and technicians.
  • Participate in business development activities, proposal preparation, and client presentations.
  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC standards and applicable codes, regulations, and sustainability principles.
  • Prepare proposals/scopes of work and project budgets for approval by Senior Project Manager or Principal.
  • Coordinate with peers and subconsultants to avoid conflicts in schedule.
  • Provide technical advice and contribute to the development of recommendations for assigned projects.
  • Prepare high-quality technical memoranda and reports.
  • Meet regularly with clients to discuss current projects and identify business opportunities.
  • Track all project costs and ensure timely invoicing to clients.
  • Present potential new business opportunities to the company.
  • Maximize project profitability through appropriate budgeting and cost controls.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop project staff, including conducting annual reviews.
  • Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
