About The Position

The Project Manager at Northwell Health is responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating project activities to ensure the successful completion of multiple large projects within specified timeframes and budget constraints. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in project management or clinical information systems.
  • Familiarity with project management methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, manages, and coordinates projects to ensure initiatives and timelines are met.
  • Develops project initiation processes by defining project scope, determining action items, assigning ownership, and creating project timetables.
  • Prepares, presents, and distributes project status reports.
  • Evaluates, plans, and monitors project implementation for clinical systems.
  • Manages project delivery teams, ensuring deadlines are met and issues are escalated for timely resolution.
  • Develops interdisciplinary project teams in coordination with the clinical community for system deployment.
  • Serves as a liaison to project sponsors, project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Communicates with user departments and project teams on project activities and resolves problems with project staff and vendors.
  • Collaborates with clinical, financial, and quality teams to define and develop metric goals.
  • Partners with management to develop tools and metrics to evaluate performance of target initiatives.
  • Ensures availability of performance measurement data for review and analysis.
  • Evaluates and drives risk management process improvements and workflow enhancements.
  • Identifies end user education and training needs and assists in the development of department policies and procedures.
  • Provides subject matter expert support in the development of clinical information systems.
