About The Position

The Project Manager at Honeywell will be responsible for leading development programs within the company, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves interfacing with customers, coordinating with various internal departments, and managing project documentation and inspections. The position requires a strong background in mechanical or civil engineering and extensive experience in project management within the refining or petrochemical industries.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum ten (10) years experience in mechanical equipment design, specification, manufacturing, project management, and field service inspection within the refining, petrochemical, gas processing or a related process industry.
  • Ability to work with technical specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with several internal groups on project coordination.
  • Working knowledge of general shop inspection activities and welding documentation is desirable.
  • Experience in the design, procurement, or installation of mechanical equipment or systems.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and software such as MS Project, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication, organizational, problem solving and project teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

  • A working knowledge of rotary valve and non-destructive examination (NDE) documentation.
  • Good presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interface effectively with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering projects and services within budgeted cost and schedule at the required quality level.
  • Interfacing directly with UOP customers on all facets of project and related service.
  • Coordinating with Sales, Customer Care, and Accounting for project setup in SAP and establishing cost accruals.
  • Coordinating and attending customer equipment kick-off meetings at customer/contractor facilities.
  • Obtaining necessary documentation for preparing equipment purchase requisitions.
  • Coordinating review of vendor equipment drawings and specifications for conformance to requirements.
  • Coordinating project inspections at equipment vendor facilities.
  • Leading customer factory acceptance testing at vendor facilities.
  • Providing support to Procurement, Logistics, Credit & Collections, and other relevant departments.
  • Updating SAP cost planning and project reporting tools continuously.
  • Providing input on customer Invitation to Bid/Request for Quotation documentation.
  • Preparing summary information for project close-out meetings.
  • Leading infrastructure work to create/revise departmental standards and best practices.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous work process improvements.
  • Training less experienced personnel in project coordination and field service/inspection accountabilities.
  • Conforming to corporate policies and practices.
