About The Position

The Building People, LLC is seeking a full-time Project Manager to oversee a complete facility maintenance program for a federal agency. This mid-level position involves managing and supporting agency-related activities, ensuring effective communication and oversight of assigned projects.

Requirements

• Minimum of seven years of O&M/Facilities Management experience.
• At least five years in a project management/supervisory role within the past seven years.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to pass government background investigation/clearance.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Proven ability to lead maintenance programs for government facilities.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Facility Manager (CFM) Certification
• Experience working in secured laboratory/testing environments.
• Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and fire alarm systems.
• Knowledge of standard CMMS systems and estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Support agency-related activities and manage assigned projects.
• Provide leadership and management support to the Facilities Team.
• Act as the primary liaison for client engagement and communication.
• Lead large, complex maintenance programs for government facilities, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Report on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to leadership.
• Develop and deliver program presentations to various audiences, including project teams and executive leadership.
• Manage and supervise building mechanical operations and maintenance for facilities.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA fire codes, OSHA, and other applicable standards.
