About The Position

The Project Manager for the Global Consortium on Climate and Health Education (GCCHE) at Columbia University is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Consortium, which aims to educate health professionals on the health impacts of climate change. This role involves managing multiple teams, developing educational resources, and engaging with stakeholders to promote climate and health knowledge globally. The position is temporary for one year with the possibility of extension.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience
  • Four years of experience in relevant fields

Nice To Haves

  • A Master's degree (or graduate-level degree) in Climate change, public health, climate resilience, environmental sustainability, or similar fields
  • Strong technical understanding of the relationship between public health and climate change
  • Strong spoken and written communications skills; multilingual candidates preferred
  • Ability to independently manage and draft policy and technical reports
  • High degree of organizational skill in managing expert groups and scheduling meetings
  • Experience engaging with policymakers and the media
  • Experience working with website developers and programmers
  • Significant project management experience
  • Experience building networks across disciplines and geographies
  • Experience with events organization and management
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility for tele-meetings outside normal working hours

Responsibilities

  • Developing curricula and educational resource content (25%)
  • Webinar and conference planning and execution (20%)
  • Regularly communicate with new and existing Consortium members (10%)
  • Website development and maintenance (10%)
  • Planning and execution of meetings for the Coordinating Committee and Advisory Board (5%)
  • Creating and maintaining social media presence (5%)
  • Developing, delivery, and maintenance of online course materials (10%)
  • Research and scholarly publication relevant to best educational practices on climate and health (10%)
  • Perform related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested (5%)

Benefits

  • Salary range: $75,000 - $80,000
