As a Project Manager at McKesson, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the development and implementation of projects and programs that involve both departmental and cross-functional teams. Your primary focus will be on delivering products or programs from the design phase through to completion for both internal and external customers. You will serve as the single point of contact for projects, guiding them from the original concept through to final implementation. This role requires you to interface with all areas affected by the project, which may include customers, client services, and various departments such as marketing and computer services. In this position, you will define project scope and objectives, oversee and coordinate all aspects of the project, and serve as the project manager between clients, line management, and internal and external resources. You will be responsible for planning and directing schedules as well as managing project budgets. Monitoring the product, program, or project from initiation through delivery will be a key part of your role, as will interfacing with customers on all matters related to the project. You will assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals. Your responsibilities will also include developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports. You will conduct project meetings and be responsible for ensuring project deliverables are met. Additionally, you will manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables. You may also provide project management guidance to the project team and recommend or take action to direct the analysis of and solution to problems. This role requires a high level of independence and competence, as you will be expected to complete your own role with minimal supervision and provide resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems.
