About The Position

Fortem Technologies is an innovator and trusted disruptor in AI-enabled airspace security and safety, providing real-time intrusion detection in counter unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS). The successful candidate will support the management of a portfolio of projects that include hardware and software development, system integration, documentation, and lifecycle support. As a senior member of the team, the candidate will have hands-on responsibility for leading projects, and will work collaboratively across the engineering, product management, and sales organizations to develop cost estimations (labor and material), manage requirements, establish technical baselines, configuration management, process artifact review and approval, risk management/analysis, and project execution management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

  • Schedule development using MS Project
  • Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Project and Release planning using Atlassian JIRA
  • Basic Software Development process knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Manage the execution of engineering projects including design, development, and debugging of software applications for control/automation of test and measurement equipment.
  • Continuous improvement of measurement algorithms, techniques and reporting to improve quality and reduce overall cost.
  • Consult with electrical engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate measurement techniques.
  • Participate in the development of new software architectures designed to maximize reuse, reduce development costs, and improve software quality.
  • Port existing test applications to new platforms.
  • Support existing orders as well as new proposals to grow the test solutions business.
  • Occasionally manage installation and commissioning of test systems at customer facilities.
