About The Position

We have an immediate hiring need for a Project Engineer/Project Manager, offering a career opportunity with a compensation range of $80,000 to $130,000 depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have military leadership experience and at least 5 years of industry experience. In this role, you will oversee a portfolio of projects, evaluate prospective contract bids, and create essential project documentation including Project Scopes, Deliverables, Statements of Work, and Work Breakdown Structures. You will also conduct in-field assessments as needed and complete or oversee project documentation while providing ad hoc reports as requested. Additionally, you will resolve project technical challenges, prepare project schedules, manage critical path items, and coordinate resource loading with contractors. Your responsibilities will also include creating Project Risk Registers and Risk Mitigation Plans, identifying and implementing cost and time-saving opportunities, and maintaining communication with external customers, vendors, utilities organizations, permitting agencies, and other contractors throughout the project lifecycle. You will keep customers informed of the current project status, mentor and develop entry-level engineering professionals, and create correspondence relevant to the team and project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required (Mechanical/Civil Engineering preferred)
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Experience Leading Projects - minimum of 2 years
  • Military leadership/project management experience
  • Strong proficiency with MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly flexible and good with consistent changing environments
  • Ability to prioritize and pivot work priorities and workload
  • Works well individually and can collaborate well in a team environment
  • Understanding of engineering principles across multiple engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, and/or electrical)
  • Strong attention to detail and task follow through
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to lead, coach and influence others
