About the position

JourneyTeam is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing ERP practice and support successful customer implementations of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. We're seeking someone who is eager to showcase their project management skills and is passionate about helping businesses transform through effective use of technology. In this role, you will collaborate with technical and functional team members, coordinate project activities, and help guide customers through their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation journey. Ideal candidates may come from backgrounds in Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, IT, or business operations-and have worked directly with ERP systems either as a user, subject matter expert, analyst, or implementation team member. You'll have the opportunity to showcase deep project management capabilities while delivering impactful solutions for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Own the successful delivery of ERP implementation projects from kickoff to go-live-driving execution, aligning cross-functional teams, and holding all stakeholders accountable to timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Lead with clarity and purpose by translating complex business needs into actionable project plans and prioritized backlogs in collaboration with JourneyTeam consultants, developers, and client stakeholders.
  • Champion project visibility through the creation and management of clear, up-to-date documentation-including schedules, status reports, and task assignments-using tools like Microsoft Project and Azure DevOps.
  • Facilitate momentum and alignment by actively participating in discovery sessions, workshops, sprint planning, and status meetings-ensuring decisions are made, blockers are removed, and progress stays on track.
  • Proactively manage scope, budget, risks, and timelines, escalating issues early and collaborating with stakeholders to drive timely, effective solutions that protect delivery commitments.
  • Apply and evolve JourneyTeam's hybrid project methodology (Agile + Waterfall) to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and internal teams through transparency, responsiveness, and proactive communication that anticipates needs and prevents surprises.
  • Embrace a leadership mindset-this is not a passive coordination role. We're looking for someone who takes initiative, leads with confidence, and thrives on driving projects forward with urgency and ownership.
  • Travel occasionally for key in-person meetings or project kickoffs; most work will be conducted remotely.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years related field or equivalent experience in business, finance, supply chain, IT, or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience with ERP systems, specifically Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills with the ability to translate requirements into actionable plans - user stories, tasks and backlog items.
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools; specifically, Project, Dynamics 365, Azure DevOps or other project management tools.
  • Understand fundamentals and advanced practices of project management and execution.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, IT, or business operations.
  • Familiarity with JourneyTeam Values: A Caring Mindset, Exceptional Performance, Being OneTeam, Making & Keeping Commitments, Taking Ownership, Effective Communication, A Growth Mindset.

Benefits

  • Healthcare and dental options.
  • 401k with a ~4% employer match with funds that vest immediately.
  • Flexible time off averaging 3.5 to 4 weeks off a year.
  • Monthly phone stipend of $25.
  • Gym membership monthly reimbursement of up to $200.
  • Professional office and remote working environments available.
