Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, science, planning, engineering management, or a related field required
- Minimum of 7 years of industry experience required; minimum of 4 years of project management experience required
- Proven ability to manage project accounting processes (budgeting, forecasts, and cash management) as well as prepare proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations and project closeout documents
- Demonstrated experience managing client relationships, interpreting contract requirements, and overseeing multiple concurrent projects
- Experience with Microsoft Office required; knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, and/or Deltek Vision preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt style for various audiences
- Experience leveraging problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
- Ability to travel as needed and work collaboratively with project teams
Nice To Haves
- Water/wastewater or municipality utility experience preferred
- Consulting experience highly preferred
- PMP, PE or equivalent professional license preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee every phase of cost estimating projects, from planning to design and implementation, ensuring quality and efficiency at every step
- Build and nurture client partnerships, understanding their needs and delivering creative, cost-effective solutions
- Manage contracts, purchase orders, project documentation, and daily correspondence with clients and subcontractors
- Take charge of project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash management, while ensuring timely payments and accurate reporting
- Lead monthly project review meetings, communicating progress and updates to clients, management, and project teams
- Develop and implement health and safety plans, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Embrace a “seller/doer” mindset, actively developing new business opportunities and expanding services provided
