About The Position

J. Blanton Plumbing is expanding its Water Restoration division and is seeking a hands-on Project Manager – Water Mitigation to lead field operations and oversee mitigation projects from initial response through completion. This is a field-driven leadership role for someone who understands water mitigation at a practical level and is ready to take ownership of crews, processes, timelines, and quality. You’ll play a key role in helping build and scale a growing restoration division. Requirements

  • Experience in water mitigation / water damage restoration.
  • Previous experience supervising technicians or crews.
  • Strong working knowledge of drying equipment, moisture tracking, and mitigation processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.

Nice To Haves

  • IICRC WRT – Water Damage Restoration Technician (strongly preferred)
  • IICRC ASD – Applied Structural Drying
  • IICRC AMRT – Applied Microbial Remediation
  • OSHA safety certification (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Manage water mitigation projects from initial assessment through job completion.
  • Ensure proper drying procedures in accordance with IICRC standards.
  • Monitor job progress, timelines, and profitability.
  • Supervise, schedule, and support mitigation technicians in the field.
  • Provide on-site direction, coaching, and quality control.
  • Help train and develop technicians as the division grows.
  • Ensure accurate moisture mapping, drying logs, photos, and job documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and internal quality expectations.
  • Coordinate closely with estimators, operations, and homeowners.
  • Serve as a point of contact in the field to ensure smooth project flow and customer confidence.
  • Identify issues early and solve problems in fast-moving environments.
