As the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to manage all aspects of small Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC)/Service projects, including risk to cost, schedule, quality. You will be responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope in the areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction. You will also provide for the successful staffing of the project and manage and lead small teams of multi-discipline professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of active water/wastewater experience with demonstrated leadership experience in the Phoenix market.
• Professional Engineering License.
• Understanding of budgets and financial metrics.
• Contract negotiation skill including knowledge of terms, risks, pricing and payment terms.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of small Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC)/Service projects.
• Be responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope.
• Provide for the successful staffing of the project.
• Manage and lead small teams of multi-discipline professionals.
• Coordinate and integrate the activities associated with the engineering, procurement, construction, and startup elements of the project team.
• Lead team efforts for marketing and strategy development.
• Prospect identification, proposal development, proposal preparation, client presentations, project budgeting and contracting for successful opportunities.
• Accountable for new business objectives and for overall project performance.
• External focus to interact with assigned clients and promote Black & Veatch through client and community activities.
• Support development of the overall market business plan, market strategies, client engagement strategies.
• Oversight of engineering manager(s) and development of project performance goals.
• Accountability for implementation and active involvement with internal project team and owner project representatives.
• Perform or assist with the performance and commercial management of projects including budgeting, invoicing, and payments.
• Lead project performance reviews for assigned project(s).
• Team development, mentoring and coaching on performance improvement.
