Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of relevant water engineering experience including but not limited to: water and wastewater infrastructure planning, design-build, asset management, detailed design, and construction.
  • Knowledge of local, federal, and state permitting requirements and funding mechanisms.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from planning through construction.
  • Present updates to external client stakeholders and support decision-making.
  • Provide oversight of the schedule and budget using Black & Veatch's internal process and manage large inter-discipline teams of internal and subconsultant resources.
  • Manage all aspects of medium to large water, wastewater and stormwater projects, including risk to cost, schedule, quality.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope in the areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction.
  • Provide for the successful staffing of the project.
  • Manage and lead medium to large teams of multi-discipline professionals.
  • Coordinate and integrate the activities associated with the engineering, procurement, construction, and startup elements of the project team, including the activities of all sub consultants.
