About The Position

As a Vice President Project Manager within the Client Tax Operations team, you will play a crucial role within Client Tax Operations and be responsible for leading regulatory & strategic tax programs, driving programs end to end—translating complex tax rules into actionable roadmaps, modernizing processes and controls, and ensuring accurate withholding, documentation, and reporting. You will be responsible for driving cross-functional execution, rigorous governance, data quality, and on-time, audit-ready delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management within the financial services industry, focusing on tax operations
  • Proven track record of delivering complex business solutions
  • Robust understanding of tax operations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Strong Knowledge of US Tax Withholding & Reporting Requirements – FATCA, NRA, Backup, 1099, 1042S

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of tax operations initiatives (scoping, roadmap, budget, governance), driving on-time, in-scope, and within-budget outcomes.
  • Create and maintain a detailed, dependency-driven project plan (scope, milestones, critical path, resources, budget), updating RAID and delivery metrics to keep execution on track.
  • Chair project working group calls: set agenda, drive decisions, capture minutes and owners with due dates, track actions and risks, and escalate issues to governance as needed.
  • Design and implement target operating models and process re-engineering, embedding controls, SLAs, and KPIs to ensure accurate withholding, documentation, and reporting.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies (RAID), enforce change control, maintain audit/ICFR evidence, and ensure regulatory and policy compliance readiness.
  • Drive stakeholder communications and change management: prepare steering materials and status reports, ensure SOPs are developed.
