The Project Manager, VDC (Virtual Design Construction) is responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of BIM requirements for each project, ensuring alignment with the BIM execution plan. This role involves coordinating all aspects of VDC, including BIM coordination, clash detection, and resolution using Navisworks. The Project Manager, VDC, will lead the coordination process through sign-off and ensure the production of accurate installation drawings for field teams. Responsibilities also include conducting clash detection analysis, constructability reviews, document management, while providing training and guidance to project teams. This position requires delivering operational and planning support to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness. The Project Manager, VDC, will also provide strategic leadership to increase organizational competence in BIM/VDC, supporting business development efforts, fostering innovation, and managing the use of virtual design and construction models across all construction projects. Additionally, this role involves actively contributing to the procurement of future projects, maintaining strong client relationships, and reviewing project plans to ensure constructability and coordination.
