Duties, Responsibilities & Other Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Manager V position is the entry-level role within KCI’s Energy Project Management career path, designed for individuals developing their project management expertise. This role involves managing smaller-scale projects with limited subconsultants and scope, serving as a foundational opportunity for learning and growth under the guidance of senior Project Managers. The Project Manager V is a key contributor to project success, responsible for coordinating technical staff, managing subconsultants, and liaising with vendors and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution from initiation through completion. Strong organizational skills and an eagerness to develop in a dynamic team environment are essential for this role. Key Technical Skills Required: Provide leadership and guidance to a multidisciplinary team, fostering skill development and collaboration. Effectively manage workload distribution through regular and effective communication with the client to sustain team productivity and efficiency. Facilitate regular check-ins and actively support the professional growth of direct reports. Serve as the primary point of contact for client and Utility Design Administrators. Furnish oversight and guidance to KCI field, engineering, and QC personnel. Provide developers with accurate cost estimates, quotes, and invoice documentation. Monitor and oversee workflow and deadlines to ensure timely completion of engineering designs. Verify that project deliverables meet established quality standards and successfully pass the quality control process. Strong collaborative leadership abilities to promote teamwork and cohesion across all functional areas. Skilled in conflict resolution, promoting positive outcomes and reinforcing relationships in complex situations. General understanding of typical workflow processes within the Electric Distribution Power Industry, encompassing all project phases from initiation to completion. Strong understanding of power grid improvement techniques to mitigate fire risks and damage. Skilled at prioritizing and managing competing demands effectively to achieve organizational objectives. Champion succession planning to ensure sustained leadership and organizational growth. Conduct regular check-ins with client to maintain open communication and improve working relationships. Candidate must be familiar with and versed in NESC code. This includes monitoring NESC updates and revisions that pertain to the roles tasks. Familiar wuith AutoCAD or other design software
