This position is responsible for providing direct project management for the Underground & Submarine Cables Engineering team located in Kansas City. The goal of the position is to directly manage multiple projects across multiple clients and grow the T&D business in a dynamic and profitable manner based upon Burns & McDonnell's core values of safety, client satisfaction, commitment, dedication, integrity, and overall outstanding service. This position provides a unique opportunity to directly manage projects, provide leadership to the project team, support growth of the Underground & Submarine Cables group, and provide key input into long-term business planning as well as the future vision of the organization. The Project Manager will be at the forefront of continued T&D growth. Burns & McDonnell's T&D Underground & Submarine Cables group has doubled. Based on this successful growth, opportunities, and available resources, Burns & McDonnell is strategically seeking a highly motivated Project Manager and leader to execute Underground & Submarine Cables projects in this region and assist in the continued development and growth of our team. The candidate is an engineering project manager with design experience in underground transmission and distribution lines and related fields, extensive industry experience, and strong leadership ability. The candidate has a strong working knowledge of project financials, scope, schedule, and risk management with a history of success. The ideal candidate should be able to manage projects for major accounts with large multi-disciplinary teams.
