Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering , construction management , architecture , or a related field (preferred).
  • 6+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years with a master’s.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Minnesota required.
  • Solid understanding of Minnesota Department of Transportation (MDOT) design standards and submittal processes.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects from initiation to close-out.
  • Strong business acumen with a track record of managing budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement & Business Development: Partner with leaders and client managers to identify opportunities and build strong relationships.
  • Project Leadership: Lead all project phases — from pursuit and initiation to planning, execution, and close-out.
  • Resource Coordination: Assemble and guide internal and external resources, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery.
  • Technical Oversight: Review, certify, and stamp deliverables as needed while ensuring compliance and quality assurance.
  • Team Collaboration: Act as the key point of contact across workshare and project teams.
