About The Position

The Project Manager - Telecom Design, will play a key role in supporting the delivery of mission-critical telecom design projects at Ares. This position is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end telecom design process on assigned projects while driving production efficiency across the design team. You will collaborate closely with professional designers and project managers, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with defined scopes of work, schedules, quality standards, and client expectations. This role requires a hands-on technical contributor who can also provide leadership, coordination, and quality oversight within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the telecom design process for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with project-specific scopes of work (SOW), schedules, deliverables, specifications, and fee considerations as required
  • Lead the successful delivery of telecom projects from design through completion
  • Review and validate test results in accordance with project and industry standards
  • Provide technical guidance and day-to-day support to telecom design team members
  • Perform quality control reviews of design documents and project deliverables
  • Utilize Bluebeam to perform markups and coordinate design input across team members
  • Attend, schedule, and lead weekly project meetings to track progress, milestones, and deadlines
  • Participate in project meetings with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Respond to RFIs and RFQs as required by project scope
  • Conduct site walks, page turns, and site visits as necessary
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings and collaborate with MEP trades
  • Manage BIM-related activities including model coordination, document management, and families
  • Work with live and local Revit models and support CAD workflows as needed
  • Coordinate closely with project teams to ensure effective communication and timely issue resolution
  • Assist other team members as needed to support overall project success
  • Manage and mentor a small group of junior designers when required
  • Maintain regular check-ins with management on fast-paced or critical projects
  • Maintain current industry certifications, including RCDD and DCDC
  • Stay current on evolving telecom technologies, codes, and industry standards
