About The Position

The Project Manager (PM) supports the Project Manager in overseeing, planning and coordinating all aspects of IT Project Management for a DOD customer. Helps to ensure that all project goals and deliverables are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe, budgetary parameters and to the customer’s satisfaction. Works closely with the Project Manager to provide cohesive team leadership and maintains positive working relationships with the customer and key stakeholders. Requirements

  • Must have a Top-Secret/SCI clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Eight (8) years’ IT Cable Plant or Audiovisual installation experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Excel to analyze/model data and generate reports.
  • Demonstrated leadership maturity to balance mission execution, technical rigor, and human considerations in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, applying ethical judgment, transparent communication, and servant leadership to influence outcomes without reliance on positional authority.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and inspire cross-functional teams toward shared objectives and mission success, supported by strong organizational and prioritization skills that align execution efforts with strate-gic goals.
  • Demonstrated resilience and adaptability, maintaining composure, sound judgment, and decision quality while navigating uncertainty, complexity, and change.
  • Commitment to excellence, embedding continuous improvement and high-performance standards across all phases of project execution.
  • Proficiency with enterprise project management and collaboration systems, including scheduling, work management, documentation, and communication platforms such as Microsoft Project Professional, Atlas-sian Jira and Confluence, and Microsoft Teams, to support execution visibility, coordination, and stake-holder engagement.
  • Cross-functional leadership experience, including leading or supporting adaptive delivery teams; Scrum Master or equivalent agile leadership experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Department of Warfighting (DoW) organizations, including departmental roles, command relationships, and Joint Force operational context, sufficient to enable effective stakeholder en-gagement and execution alignment.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including negotiation, facilitation, conflict resolution, and influence without formal authority, applied effectively in complex organizational environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, engineering, business, logistics or Military Science, and five (5) years of experience leading IT projects or programs in a federal contracting environment; equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and professional or military leadership experience will be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
  • IT experience preferred in systems administration, IT Cable Plant or Audiovisual installation.
  • Management experience in Government contracting or previous DOD employment.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Senior Program Manager and Project Manager II in planning, executing, and controlling IT installation projects, including schedule development, resource planning, cost analysis, contract deliverables, and customer-facing execution.
  • Serves as a key coordination and communication interface with the Government Contracting Officer, Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), and other government stakeholders, supporting the Senior Program Manager and Project Manager II in the management, administration, and timely submission of all contractually required data items for each task or delivery order.
  • Responsible for day-to-day orchestration, managing dependencies, and leading projects. The Deputy Project Manager will also integrate functional area leads in hybrid planning meetings, facilitate collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and process procurement requests as needed.
  • Collaborates and facilitates collaboration of a Team of Teams empowered for decentralized execution aligned to centralized mission intent through shared consciousness and trust.
  • Supports project quality and safety planning and compliance while assisting with the application of industry best practices, project management tools, and methodologies.
  • Lead the development, validation, and submission of monthly contract deliverables—including status reports, meeting minutes, site surveys, and test results—ensuring contractual compliance, execution transparency, and decision-quality information for government and internal stakeholders.
  • Supports post-award contract execution by translating contractual requirements and Statement of Work (SOW) obligations into executable project plans, coordinating cross-functional inputs, and maintaining alignment with approved scope, schedule, performance, and compliance objectives.
  • Consolidates and coordinates Other Direct Costs (ODCs), material procurements, and corporate unbillable expenditures, ensuring appropriate segregation, justification, and submission for COR and program-level review and approval in support of compliant, timely project and program execution.
  • Supports the Senior Program Manager and Project Manager II in supervising contract personnel, assessing staffing levels and skill alignment against project scope and deliverables, and actively contributing to workforce planning, selection, and onboarding of new or replacement project staff.
  • Actively develops project management leadership competencies within the enterprise through structured training, mentoring, and hands-on application of planning, execution, and control practices across the project lifecycle.
