The Project Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of a large-scale multiyear construction project, ensuring successful delivery on schedule, within budget, and with high quality. This onsite position requires strong project management skills and experience in data center construction, with accountability for project planning, execution, and stakeholder communication.

  • Execute Black Box PMO standards, processes, and methodologies for project planning and execution activities.
  • Prepare project plan and work breakdown structure in partnership with participating organizations and negotiate agreement with the customer.
  • Coordinate the setup of overall project governance including project org charts, roles & responsibilities, and communication management.
  • Manage the execution of the project as the primary customer contact, articulating design and operational concepts to customers and technicians.
  • Conduct recurring customer reviews addressing scope, schedules, issues, actions, risks, and customer expectations.
  • Prepare for and present at project steering committee meetings.
  • Work with Procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Manage installation and transition project to Day 2 support team after completion.
  • Monitor and anticipate potential problems, identify project conflicts, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Issue and communicate program status to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Manage revenue forecasting and tracking for assigned projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience in project management, engineering, IT, or business.
  • 5+ years of experience leading large scale multi-year construction projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) - BICSI preferred.
  • Experience with manufacturing, office, and data center construction projects.
  • Experience managing projects with a minimum of 25 personnel and yearly revenue in excess of $3 million.
  • Proficiency in MS Project and PPM tools.
  • Procore experience preferred.
  • BIM experience preferred.
