About The Position

The Stormwater Project Manager will provide technical leadership for stormwater engineering projects in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. This position is responsible for planning, designing, and managing hydrologic and hydraulic studies, drainage systems, and related infrastructure projects. The role includes supervising staff, ensuring project quality, and supporting business development efforts in alignment with the Civil Engineering Division strategy. This is a full-time position paid bi-weekly on a salary basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain through reciprocity
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in stormwater engineering, including project management
  • Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 5.0, FLO2D, SWMM, ICPRv4)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS
  • Knowledge of FEMA NFIP, USACE, and NPDES/TPDES regulatory programs
  • Experience leading engineering teams
  • Experience in dam safety, stream restoration, stormwater BMP design, or sediment transport
  • Familiarity with DFW-area municipalities and agencies

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage stormwater engineering staff in the DFW office
  • Perform and oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, including 1D and 2D analyses, for projects such as floodplain studies, stormwater conveyance systems, detention facilities, and municipal drainage master planning
  • Prepare design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports for stormwater infrastructure
  • Provide bid support and construction administration for drainage improvement projects, including those for TxDOT, municipalities, counties, airports, and private developers
  • Prepare and submit LOMR and CLOMR applications and other FEMA regulatory documentation
  • Support floodplain and stormwater quality management programs for municipal clients, including FEMA CRS and TPDES compliance
  • Conduct sediment transport analyses as required for project design
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and permitting requirements
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies to deliver projects on schedule and within budget
  • Support business development activities, including proposal preparation and client relationship management
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables from initiation to closeout
  • Other duties as assigned
