Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Soil Science, Geology, Engineering, Geography, or other applied science.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience, including a combination of project management, field work, data evaluation, technical writing, and QA/QC in the environmental consulting field.
  • Working knowledge of procedures and methodologies related to due diligence, site investigation, remediation, and environmental compliance.
  • Experience with project management and participation in professional organizations.
  • Experience with implementation and supervision of health and safety requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or in a team setting.
  • Must be able to pass drug screen and motor vehicle background check.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with environmental consulting and regulatory requirements in Nebraska and Iowa.
  • 40-hr HAZWOPER training and 8-hour annual refresher.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent problem solving and general scientific evaluation skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple activities on an ongoing basis.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of day-to-day operations for subsurface investigation projects throughout Nebraska and Iowa, including all aspects of the project life cycle such as proposal generation, technical execution, reporting, and invoicing.
  • Execute project work appropriate for experience level related to due diligence, site investigation and characterization, remediation, and related environmental consulting areas.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to develop new clients and expand services provided to existing clients.
  • Actively participate in professional and technical organizations appropriate for core skill set and client needs.
  • Prepare reports by assisting with data compilation, reduction, interpretation, evaluation, and comparison to state and/or federal environmental regulatory standards.
  • Positively interact with internal and external clients, service partners, and contractors.
  • Promote a safety-first culture that values proactive measures and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other team members toward a common goal of providing client-centric services with high quality interactions and deliverables.
