About The Position

The Project Manager holds primary responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of commercial and small utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. This includes the oversight of project design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, safety, and quality objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in applicable engineering discipline, construction management or similar. Equivalent career experience shall be considered in lieu of this requirement.
  • 4+ years demonstrated success in a construction project management role.
  • Photovoltaic, commercial / industrial electrical, and heavy civil construction experience highly desired.
  • Experience with commercial and government procurement and contracting, local and national building codes, local jurisdiction building permit processes.
  • Working knowledge of National Electrical Code and experience in electrical equipment procurement.
  • Thorough knowledge of all applicable federal and local safety regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple, concurrent project commitments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); intermediate to advanced level.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently for short-term assignments in and out of state.

  • Photovoltaic, commercial / industrial electrical, and heavy civil construction experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to transition awarded projects from contract execution into engineering, permitting, and construction phases.
  • Lead engineering and permitting activities in coordination with internal design teams and external consultants, including utility applications, field investigations, and plan reviews.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to finalize system designs and construction plans; establish and manage project schedules and site logistics.
  • Draft, negotiate, and administer project agreements and subcontracts.
  • Develop, track, and manage project schedules using Microsoft Project and other tools as required.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with project budgets, adopting a margin-conscious approach.
  • Manage project procurement to ensure on-time delivery of materials and equipment within budget constraints and project deadlines.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and internal construction teams to deliver work in accordance with safety, quality, schedule, and profitability targets.
  • Represent the company in client meetings, including preconstruction, coordination, and weekly construction meetings.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation across all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare cost estimates and schedule projections to support proposals and responses to RFQs.
  • Oversee project warranty and operations & maintenance (O&M) activities as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
