The successful candidate will work with a collaborative team at Sundyne located at the corporate headquarters in Arvada, Colorado. The Project Manager must be an energetic person who is responsible to execute development projects through a stage gate process. This demands a solid understanding of phased development, project planning, technical scope interpretation, budget management, schedule management and attention to detail. Excellent leadership, communication, and management skills with an ability to influence is essential to coordinate with customers, stakeholders, and production stream groups and the entire project team.

  • Receive project lead assignments and obtain a full understanding of scope of the project as well as budget and schedule requirements
  • Manage and facilitate multiple projects through a phase-gate process or design control methods
  • Manage global team(s) weekly activities to maximize schedule adherence and quality of deliverables
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure effective use of resources
  • Monitor and influence progress of projects to ensure sound application of engineering principles, process adherence, and on-time results
  • Assist in collection of marketing data where needed and assist PLM group to convey into business case and project scope
  • Effectively communicate expectations and information to internal and external teams
  • Facilitate the determination of scope and technical design criteria for the project with team members
  • Coordinate with other disciplines involved in the project as necessary and facilitate product launch activities with production streams
  • Ensure all design criteria, calculations performed, and decisions made are documented
  • Assist in preparing studies and reports when called upon
  • Provide and track project metrics along with project update reports
  • May interact with customers to solve reliability issues and/or answer general feedback on product questions
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects for company related processes and infrastructure
  • Actively participate in maintaining positive culture and safe working environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field: Engineering (Mechanical) preferred
  • PMP Certification
  • Minimum 7 years of related Project Management work with demonstrated direct responsibility for project completion with timely results
  • International project management experience
  • Experience working with customers, end users, EPC’s, and sales channels
  • Proven record in leading and directing the work of other individuals assigned to the team to include; engineers, designers, production, and aftermarket personnel to achieve project goals
  • Demonstrated extensive project experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Ability to lead project teams within a matrix organization
  • 5 years of Manufacturing or Oil/Gas Experience
  • Experience implementing API 610, 614, 617 and/or 682 standards
  • Working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures used in the oil and gas industry, manufacturing, chemical or a closely related industry
  • Experience with centrifugal pump/compressor products a plus
  • Quality Assurance training and command of application desired
  • Blueprint/engineering schematic reading and interpretation a plus
