About The Position

As well-established civil infrastructure contractor with a strong presence in regional road and transportation projects, we are seeking a Road Construction Project Manager to join the team in the Shreveport, LA area. This role leads end-to-end project delivery for roadway construction projects and offers the opportunity to take ownership of high-impact work in a safety-first, team-oriented environment. What You'll Do as the Road Construction Project Manager: Lead planning, execution, and closeout of road construction projects Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans Ensure compliance with DOT standards and applicable environmental regulations Oversee job site safety practices and enforce company policies Act as the primary point of contact for clients, inspectors, engineers, and stakeholders Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and equipment logistics Monitor material usage, procurement, and cost control measures Resolve field issues and maintain project momentum Facilitate project meetings and provide consistent progress updates

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing road or heavy civil construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of DOT specifications and roadway construction practices
  • Experience with asphalt and/or concrete paving operations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Experience managing projects in Louisiana or similar regulatory environments
  • Familiarity with environmental compliance standards
  • Background working with public infrastructure or municipal projects
