About The Position

The Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Project Manager supports Freeman Health System’s enterprise revenue cycle initiatives by serving as an embedded project management and execution resource across multiple RCM transformation efforts. This role integrates with consultant-led programs when needed, while also supporting internally driven revenue cycle initiatives. The position provides continuity, coordination, and execution rigor to ensure revenue cycle improvements translate into operationally viable, sustainable results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, transformation, project management, or consulting.
  • Experience supporting multiple, concurrent RCM initiatives in complex healthcare environments.
  • Strong understanding of hospital and physician revenue cycle operations.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in matrixed organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an embedded RCM project management resource across multiple revenue cycle initiatives.
  • Coordinate workstreams across the full revenue cycle, from access through billing, AR, denials, and cash collections.
  • Translate improvement recommendations into actionable operational plans and execution roadmaps.
  • Validate assumptions and analyses using Freeman data and operational context.
  • Ensure initiatives align with enterprise financial objectives and operating standards.
  • Support future-state RCM workflows and operating model design.
  • Partner with revenue cycle leadership, IT, and operations to support implementation readiness.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and resource constraints and support mitigation planning.
  • Support transition management and early stabilization following initiative launches.
  • Track baseline performance, improvement targets, and initiative-level KPIs.
  • Maintain dashboards, workplans, and executive reporting.
  • Act as a coordination point between Freeman, consulting partners, and operational teams.
  • Prepare executive updates and support governance and decision-making forums.
