About The Position

The Project Manager at Apple will assist the project management team in leading construction projects, focusing on project initiation, budgeting, scheduling, and logistics planning. This role involves collaboration with various internal teams and external design professionals to ensure project requirements are met and that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in project initiation including conceptual budgeting and scheduling, logistics planning.
  • Provide budget analysis, value engineering, and obtain internal approvals for capital funding.
  • Apply Apple design guidelines and provide guidance to the design team for implementation.
  • Meet with internal engineering groups, operations, and business units to determine detailed project requirements.
  • Engage design professionals including architects, engineers, and specialty consultants.
  • Manage and support design professionals from programming to completion.
  • Review lease terms and collaborate with the Leasing Manager to obtain necessary approvals from the Landlord.
  • Engage and maintain positive working relationships with local government jurisdictions/departments.
  • Engage general contractors including competitive bidding and negotiation.
  • Review proposals and change order requests from consultants, general contractors, suppliers, and subcontracts.
  • Prepare and present comparative analysis.
  • Create and maintain the project budget and high-level master schedule.
  • Coordinate with Apple EH&S, IT, Security, and AV project managers.
  • Oversee the coordination, ordering, and installation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment for each project.
  • Manage commissioning agents and develop sequence of operations.
  • Manage the closeout process, warranty issues, and turnover the project to the Facilities team.
