About The Position

GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Project Manager to support the Parts – Reactor Parts product lines (Control Rod Blades, Control Rod Drives, HCU, Mechanical and Reactor Internals), with an initial emphasis on the Control Rod Drive product line. This role will be responsible for managing long range forecasting, demand planning, fulfillment processes (ITO/OTR), interfacing with the on-site machining and fabrication plant, and ensuring high-quality, timely, and compliant execution. You will serve as a cross-functional focal point between customers and internal teams (Engineering, Sourcing, Finance, Scheduling, etc.), with the flexibility to support multiple product lines based on business needs. The role requires a proactive problem solver who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence. This is an onsite position based in Wilmington NC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Business with at least three (3) years of experience in Program Management, Project Management, or Business Management OR Associates Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Business with at least seven (7) years of experience in Program Management, Project Management, or Business Management
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite each day at GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy’s Wilmington, NC location.
  • Ability to walk frequently, go up and down step periodically
  • Ability and willingness to travel 5%
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of financial principles including revenue, income statements, balance sheets, and cash/inventory metrics
  • Lean or Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt certification preferred)
  • Proven leadership and motivation skills
  • Previous experience with on-site manufacturing operations
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a bias for action
  • Familiarity with Oracle ERP or equivalent enterprise systems
  • Familiarity with project management tools
  • Customer service mindset with experience in parts supply chain operations
  • Previous experience working in nuclear energy or GVH-related industries
  • Demonstrated success working across multiple levels of an organization
  • PMP Certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning and execution for the reactor parts product line
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that could cause delays or customer dissatisfaction.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with strong prioritization skills.
  • Serve as the central point of contact among all stakeholders—customers, ITO/OTR PMs, Engineering, Sourcing, Finance, Scheduling, Manufacturing, and Logistics.
  • Drive performance across key metrics including, Quote Cycle Time, Quote Backlog, On-Time Delivery (OTD), Win Rate, OTR Cycle Time and other key data points
  • Lead waste reduction and continuous improvement projects
  • Ensure all quotes and orders meet technical, financial, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Champion operational excellence, quality, integrity, and compliance.
  • Support strategic initiatives across the Parts business and serve as a change agent.
  • Open to working off-shift hours as needed to support urgent business or customer needs.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned
