About The Position

As a Project Manager, the Incumbent will be responsible for project activities to ensure their successful delivery and will need to effectively lead a multidisciplinary team of experts to safely deliver vital train control solutions, while working within the confines of established processes and norms. As part of the role, the Incumbent will also develop project plans / schedules and drive the teams to deliver on their commitments on time and within budget. They will often need to engage others within the organization to secure appropriate resources for the work and regularly prepare and present status reports for both internal management and the customer.

Requirements

  • 15 years of experience in related industry or from technical/aerospace field.
  • 10 years of experience as a project manager.
  • University degree in Engineering (Electronic, Telecommunications, or Informatics) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical expertise in Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) railway signaling systems.
  • Demonstrated experience handling high-complexity projects in challenging contexts, including multicultural and international settings.
  • Proven ability to organize and coordinate multiple, international remote teams effectively.
  • Self-disciplined, proactive, and entrepreneurial, with a strong commitment to achieving targets.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, financial management, and risk assessment.
  • Fluent in English, capable of working effectively in International and multicultural environments.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP or IPMA certification.
  • Engineering Degree.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage projects in accordance with contractual requirements and company processes.
  • Ensure overall performance/schedule compliance, cash flow and budget of the project while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Strategically manage client’s expectations and wants with respect to what is achievable within the company’s overall business.
  • Evaluate the need for out of scope work in light of strategic project gains.
  • Enforce policies and procedures to ensure no unauthorized work is being conducted.
  • Evaluate and report on project 'Estimates to Complete' in accordance with company practices.
  • Review and input into the project Risk List to allow visibility on business exposure.
  • Make decisions on expenditures of mitigation monies to support the most advantageous option for the company and project’s benefit.
  • Show vision and direction from a leadership perspective, fostering a single path for the whole project team.
  • Create an environment where the project team is motivated and focused on the objective.
  • Display strong communication skills ensuring clarity with senior management, the client, and the project team.
