  • Establish and lead a multidisciplinary team, potentially in globally distributed locations, in the development of new and innovative products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to create and execute Project Plans in accordance with established New Product Development policies and processes.
  • Assign tasks, responsibilities, and accountability to team members to achieve Project and Product goals, and manage labor, expense, and capital expenditures to project budgets.
  • Monitor Project and Product status and commitments, and ensure appropriate Change Management techniques are utilized to assess and address identified variances.
  • Perform holistic assessments of change requests, and conduct Gate Reviews and interact with Senior Management and other stakeholders to communicate project status per the established Project Communications Plan.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience, with some experience as a new product development leader of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills, including project scheduling, resource allocation and management, risk management, project finances, and partner/contract management.
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve challenging goals, and strong interpersonal skills with ability to promote team interaction and execution.
  • Strong business acumen, and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Applied knowledge of FDA and international medical device regulations or experience with other highly regulated industry.
  • Experience in at least one of electronics, optics, injection molded plastics, software, requirements definition, or testing.
  • Experience with Agile Development processes.
  • Experience with application of Lean Enterprise Tools & Methodologies to improve processes and increase effectiveness.
  • Project Management certification (PMP).
