About the position

Join an exciting opportunity to work on a $27 million Civic Center project in Mammoth, which encompasses a total area of 6,125 square feet. This project will feature essential facilities including a council chamber, a main entrance lobby, public restrooms, and utility restrooms. In addition to the building itself, the project will also involve significant site improvements such as new landscaping, concrete and asphalt paving, and the construction of 63 parking stalls along with 12 street parking spots. The design will include provisions for electric vehicle (EV) charging and accessible parking to ensure inclusivity and sustainability. We are seeking a Project Manager and a Superintendent to oversee this ambitious project. The ideal candidates will have experience in managing large-scale construction projects, particularly in the public sector, and will be responsible for ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role offers a competitive salary in the range of $140,000 to $150,000 per annum, along with accommodation in Mammoth, where rent and utilities will be covered. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the construction of the Civic Center project from start to finish.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
  • Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders and management.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Superintendent in construction, preferably with Federal projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with civic or public sector construction projects.
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices and materials.
  • Certification in project management (PMP or equivalent).
