Job TitleProject Manager, Project Delivery Location(s) Customer Site - MO Job Description This is a fully onsite role with Project Farma, a PerkinElmer company The Manager, PF, Project Delivery is responsible for the technical performance of projects and the business development expansion of services at partner accounts. In this billable client facing role, they will identify, train, develop, coach, and mentor technical teams developing high performing project engineers and consultants. The Manager, PF, Project Delivery is responsible for client relationship management and acts as client liaison during delivery of Project Farma service engagements. They are strategically focused and responsible for client satisfaction through project delivery while maintaining and growing client relationships. The Manager, PF, Project Delivery will direct, manage and build high performing teams executing projects within the Project Farma practice areas across various client sites/locations with overall responsibility for technical solutions, cost, quality, and client satisfaction. You will represent Project Farma by collaborating with clients as a trusted Partner, Account, Site and/or Project Owner. Examples of our core services within the life science space, include: Capital Project Management (including Project Controls and Scheduling); Facility Management & Builds; Tech Transfers; Validation Life Cycle (including Commissioning and Qualification, Process Validation, Computer System Validation, etc.); GxP Automated Systems; Due Diligence & Business Strategy; Quality, Regulatory, & Compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline (OR a combination of equivalent work experience in project controls, cGMP facility start-up, project management and/or comparable military experience).
  • 4-6+ years of managing high-performing teams.
  • 4+ years business development, lead generation, or sales experience.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of Project Engineer, Project Management, Consulting, and/or relevant industry experience.
  • Full-time on-site client presence
  • Willingness to travel up to 100% or as required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

  • This position may require significant travel to support project and business needs.
  • We cannot employ anyone with an invalid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Delivery Manage and produce key project controls deliverables, including: Budget estimates Detailed project schedules and milestones Feasibility estimates, risks, forecasts, and scenario analysis Project cost reports and trend analysis Comprehensive monthly project summary reports Set and lead project direction and strategy based on client vision and expected outcomes throughout the entire project delivery life cycle.
  • Lead initiatives and projects by ensuring Team Members understand team and individual goals and responsibilities, managing priorities, and ensuring timely and high-quality completion of work.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert providing technical direction, training, career development, and performance assessments for project Team Members.
  • Develop strategies for the success of the service line or market target such as planning, scheduling, estimating, monitoring, progress measurement, risk management, training, and reporting procedures.
  • Manage new and existing client accounts, focusing on project delivery, actively seeking to maintain and grow accounts in line with organizational growth targets.
  • Manage internal site tools such as site dashboards, deliverable trackers, etc.
  • Operational Performance & Billability Maintain 100% individual billability while ensuring the site or market team achieves forecast hours & targets.
  • Ensure team performance aligns to billable hours in support of operational goals.
  • Site Strategy Create a strategic roadmap to drive site growth and align with firm objectives.
  • Proactively identify client needs to foster site expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., client executives, decision-makers) to secure long-term partnerships.
  • Business Growth & Development Drive site-level business expansion and development with a strategic focus to expand services and opportunities.
  • Work with Project Leads to maintain dashboards and pursue expansion opportunities.
  • Own project extensions, proposal generation, and provides critical input into site RFPs.
  • Actively participate in industry events to build a local network and collaborate with the Market Director to expand client portfolios and secure high-value contracts.
  • Monitor and achieve operational KPIs and targets.
  • Review and populate site dashboards providing direction resulting in project health and expansion opportunities.
  • Lead, oversee, and execute client project initiatives allowing for the identification of new and added services for the mutual benefit of the client and organization.
  • Support, review, and analyze Business Development, Project Delivery and Team Member activities.
  • Support in the development, implementation, and execution of strategic plans to meet the Project Farma business development and growth targets.
  • Monitor and manage budgets and planning needs to meet the necessary project requirements.
  • Support the maintenance of new and existing client accounts, focusing on project delivery and actively seeking account growth.
  • Work with client’s business/technical leadership to facilitate workflow development, project scope development and risk assessment, issue resolution and work forecasting and planning.
  • Provide direction and innovation in service and/or process improvement, cost reduction and recommendations for business process optimization.
  • Remain current with the latest trends in the biomanufacturing industry and implement strategies that leverage changes in the marketplace into new business opportunities.
  • Thorough understanding of our target industries including how each sector works together, interdependence, emerging trends, and key challenges.
  • Maintain business development data within customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Support strategic creation of cross site / cross account business development tools creating a force multiplier impact.
  • Leadership & Talent Development Mentor, train, and coach team members in client engagement, relationship management, and leadership.
  • Develop and maintain succession plans for team or project leads.
  • Partner with Market Directors to share best practices across sites.
  • Lead a high-performing team, fostering accountability, excellence, and collaboration, while setting performance goals and enhancing retention.
  • Project Manage teams at various client sites/locations to ensure consistency of technical services, compliant with client and Project Farma’s processes and standards and responsiveness to both client and employee requirements.
  • Collaboratively identify and implement employee performance and development plans to meet individual development and organizational growth goals.
  • Direct and manage teams executing projects within the Project Farma practice areas with overall responsibility for technical solutions, cost, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Strategically assign team members to accounts for mutual benefit and identify Team Member succession planning to maximize the readiness of future leaders.
  • Strategically identify talent needs and follow through with support of the recruitment and talent acquisition process.
  • Resource Management Drive resourcing decisions for the site and collaborate with the Market Directors to ensure optimal staffing.
  • Consult with the Market Director to forecast future resource needs and maintain a forward-looking resource plan.
  • Proactively manage resource utilization and team mix to ensure high-quality project delivery within budget.
  • Support project direction and strategy based on client vision and expected outcomes throughout the entire project delivery life cycle without oversight.
  • Analyze, identify trends, and ensure performance of PO management tools; managing burn rates; need for new proposals and proactively communicate PO performance.
  • Proactively identify and ensure success through earned value analysis for clients and maximizing performance for Project Farma
