Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7+ years of demonstrable project management experience on large-scale projects (>$100MM). 10+ years preferred.
  • Proven experience in industrial environments, with preference for power generation and oil & gas sector project execution.
  • Expertise in planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, risk management, change management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational acumen.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 25% to field sites as needed.
  • Must pass background check; role is safety-sensitive with drug and alcohol program participation required.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with gas turbine power generation
  • Familiarity with construction inspection requirements and best practices

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies from initiation to closeout.
  • Monitor progress, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and ensure projects finish on time and within budget. Implement change management procedures as needed.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional project team members, ensuring clear communication, defined responsibilities, and accountability.
  • Direct design, specification, and engineering of power generation projects, with a focus on constructability and compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Manage projects through field construction, coordinating contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders while maintaining schedules.
  • Lead teams through completions, commissioning, and turnover phases, ensuring successful delivery of power generation infrastructure.
  • Oversee vendor procurement, delivery, and installation of equipment. Manage commissioning and testing at field sites, both domestic and international.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, contractors, and internal teams. Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Manage project-specific contractor agreements to ensure adherence to commercial terms.
